View Full Version : Receiver switching voltage
How do you test the output polarity switching voltage on a sat receiver with a volt meter ?
The reason is i have a new box Fortecstar Passion the h channels are ok but all the v channels showing no signal the lnb works fine on a dreambox & tm9100 just want to check it before i send it back.
Thanks nml

try this ..
get a short length of coax inner core and insert in to suspect recever lnb input
then connect to meter probe +
the - on the meter should go the the chassis ground
then you should get 13v for the vert channels and 17 v for the hoz (i think its that way round)
best of luck.

Check the LNB setup in the menu before you condemn the receiver. Most receivers default to Universal, but it could just need altering.
It was the box, replaced now everything fine.
