Hummy 5400 issues post 9.8

I have 9.8 working but no TPS and also the lesser premiere stuff like MGM, SCi Fi etc.
My timer is set on GMT. I know it should be GMT+1 or 2 but the setting is greyed out in the installation menu do I need to get into that and if so how?
If this is standard for HoT ToH then any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Also the Premiere stuff. I seem to have put all the new patches and bins in. That seems to leave only the PMC settings to change. My current ones go back to august and the premiere changes happened at the start of Novemebr-thats when I lost them. Again any advice.

go into installation,system setting,time setting,current time then move arrow keys left or right till time offsett =gmt+01.00 then go to france 4 and power off/power on box and wait till auto update,sometimes better if u remove any cams and just let the patch work.

Thanks superkev. I left the box running overnight on an FTA channel and had a good look at the timeeeeeeeee. As you say I changed the actual time to 1 hour on from UK and the greyed out box updated from GMT+0 to GMT+1.
ANy ideas on the german stations like MGM, Sci Fi ec. My box shows its looking for conax rather than nagra.

The C is not conax but cryptoworks. MGM and SCi-FI are broadcast in these encryptions as well. Your Humax is picking the wrong CAID make sure that 1801 is first on the PMCT line. Or load Xumah's latest.

on my humax if you press menu-toh-parser-parser my caid for mgm is 1801,scroll up/down till 1801 is in red then select ok see if that works.

settings for me in config are

macro mode on startup=on
macro mode control button=tv/sat
symbolize+cam activity=on
display ci window=on
ac-3 burst initilisation=on
check time on first channels=all
start on first channel=off
global auto video pid=pmct
close channel list with ok button=off
send diseqc twice for cascade=on
caid preselect=card+emu
card blocker=off
sharing protocol mode=hsic

Superkev, how can I store the new CAID- as I said everything works great but when I go back to the channel I have to redo the edit again?

Prontopro-I am sure I put in the latest xamuh-17/12? But I cannot see either the old CAID or the new CAID when I review the file in the pmct tool in the humax tool box.

only thing i can think of is when u got everything working ok power off humax by the standbye button then power on again as this saves the settings and codes.

I use PMCTool for uploading PMCT tables. Do you?

I've never had a problem with that program.

hi onno,
first I would say, go back and reload the full 9.6 using hdfsmart and make sure you have all the modules ticked, then reload your channel settings HNF file, after that then change caid preselect to card+emu (in menu,toh,config) then load a new bin using dsr9500 5.6cw.

after all this make sure you are gmt+1 and then check around and see what you have, I know this has been all said before, but I always advocate NOT putting in a alternative Pmc, it normally works quite well with the installed pmc (this is installed with the full patch)(provided you have all the modules ticked) as does the catone.

always get it working in bog standard patched mode before trying alternative files as you are just giving yourself a headache for nothing.
