Hi all, As per title, in which file does the Dreambox 500s write it's stored satellite positions once "store" is pressed on the remote?
Also is it possible to change the east/west limits? at the moment my STAB-HH120 motor won't turn further east than 40E? thanks
The satellite descriptions are stored in /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/config
It just stores the satellite names and according rotor memory numbers.
The rotor stores the actuator position ( unless gotoXX is used).
Channels are stored in /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/services
East/West limits should be adjusted on the rotor, see rotors' manual.

the stab motor can have limits preset into its memory and these can be reset on certain receivers by using the RECACULATION OF SATELLITES command on certain receivers , and also disabling of the limits as well
page 10 and 11 of the stab manual tell you this
therefore , the correct question is:-
how does he do the reset and recalculation function on a dreambox in order to reset or remove the stored limits on his stab motor ?
in other words he needs to know if a dreambox can reset those stab motor limits back to factory defaults from the stored limit he has at present ( page 11 in the stab manual )
I know this as a samsung 9500 can do it as I used to do this with my old sammy and my old stab 120 motor myself
