MBC on 7 East

Hi chaps, could someone with a decent size dish do a check to see if you can pick up 11190H 3210-1/2 on 7 East. A channel called MBC. I note it's on the Africa beam, so perhaps it's not possible to receive in uk?. Thanks for any reports.

Looks like you'll only get it if you live in the southern region of Africa :)

Better to try 26 east mate,

11919H,27500.3/4 will get you MBC1/2/3/4 and Action.

I get a good signal down here on the North Cornwall coast using a 1metre dish and a Dreambox7000 with a crappy tuner.

MBC on 7E is from Mauritius , footprint _http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/ew3a_afr.html and is not the middle east MBC channel.

Thanks for the replies chaps... as wsm25 has pointed out already, the MBC i'm after are the state channel(s) for Mauritius, not to be confused with the middle east channels with the same name. Doesn't look promising at the moment, but my dreambox does detect a 60% signal stength on this frequency and the Bit error rate (BER) is eratic, with a 1.1m dish. Perhaps a bigger dish >2m may just bring it in... although for me that's not going to be practical!

Have scanned it but nothing. 130cm from Belgium.

When you look at the Beam map, the signal is only from SubSahara area to South Africa.

I guess that even with a 2m dish you won't get a thing.

Very strange that your DB gets a 60% signal.

Ican get MBC 1-4 + action about 30% signal with a Humax 5400 and a 2.2m dish in Gwent, South Wales.

seti what sat are you on 26e or 7w 7e is the sat badflyer was looking for mbc mauritius not the arab channels you mention which are available with 1M dish in the uk on 26e and 1.5M on 7w your signal seems very low for such a big dish also the sr is 3210 1/2 and not 27500 for mbc mauritius freqency 11.190H not available in europe with 1m dish nasa would have trouble with this one in the uk

Signal might be a bit low as not the best line of sight for me.
I try to tune with Sr 3210 1/2 and nothing only on Sr 27500 3/4

7E 11190H 27500 pulls in about 30 different channels with a good signal strenght but no MBC 11190H 3210 no signal this is with a 1m dish in S.Wales

,45 dBW = 90 cm dish
40 dBW = 120 cm dish
