I am due to upgrade my phone in January and I am looking forone that can use sat nav.
Is it only the "Smartphones" That can load sat nave (eg tomtom go files) or can other phones be used as well.
Is there a list anywhere of compatable phones that I can use?
Thanks in advance for any help

Mate I have the N95 8GB - Amazing phone and has GPS built in.
I have for work the Orange SPV M700, this also has GPS built in and is based on Windows. Again a great phone.

Have a look and see what you think.

I think there is satnav programs for Nokia phones .ie symbian etc [TomTom mobile]. I do know that TomTom 5 worked on a few phones .The list below :
Here is an old list for tomtom mobile 5 phones.

* Imate SP3, SP3i, SP5, SP5m
* Motorola MPX 220 (Only in Benelux, UK, Aus,Swiss)
* Orange SPV C500, SPV C550, SPV C600, SPV E200
* Qtek 8010, 8020, 8060, 8080, 8100, 8300, 8310
* T-Mobile SDA, SDA Music, SDA2
* Nokia 3230, 6260, 6600, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6681, 7610, N70, N90
* Nokia 9300, 9500
* Nokia 7710
* Sony Ericsson P910i

But I would say the SmartPhone would be the best bet.I run TomTom6 on my Ubiquio401 with a Holox 44 channel external GPS reciever and it works very well.
