windows mobile +sat nav

hi i am a utter novice to this so any advise greatly appreciated
i have just bought a mda vario 2 unlocked and now on 3 the software is windows mobile 6 i am looking to put tom tom ar another satnav on the phone having la quick look in the search i noticed that certain versions are not compattable could anyone point me in the right direction please

try a free version the bloke in the t-mobile shop put me on to
only just trying it, takes a bit of getting used to
