Which (if any) emulator?????

I am trying to get a card which is used on a local tv distribution system to work in my DM 500. (genuine card)
not sure what encryption system this card uses.
have tried cccam and camd without any luck.

when i go to the supported coding systems page, the info relating to "system used in service" is Beijing Compunicate
Technology.

Has anyone any idea which; if any emulator will work with this card.

in the genuine receivers used by the local tv service the conax card slot is not used but the cam slot has a "smit" cam fitted.

any help appreciated

I would have suggested CCcam but as you've tried it already, then I'm not sure..

Have you tried NewCS with CCcam connecting to it?

What is the name of the TV package the card is for?

the name of the service is Swiss Kabel.
it is a re-distribution service used around Javea in Spain, of which there are several in this area.

I could of course use a 7025 with the card in an official smit cam. but of course that would not help my "friends" if u see what i mean.

yes i tried cccam 2.04/newcs1.31.

try 2.04/1.5 the latest I got my conax card to work as it would work with nothing else except original cam or decoder

how about you start that cardserver in a telnet session and give us a log .

ok, i have tried cs1.5 as well now and no luck.

Raul, Please tell me how do i make a log and send it???

just kill the server , start it and watch whats happening :)
look if the card is recognized at all - if yes , start the client as well .

killall cardserver

Did you add an N line in the CCcam.cfg to the correct port on the NewCS server using the correct user name/password and DES key ?

Did you port port forward your NewCS port?

no i did not. why should this be necessary just to get the card to work in my own DM?
if so could u please explain more?

doesn't matter if the client is in your own box or in australia through WAN , it still
needs to be configured to match server login details :)

anyway , telnet outputs of both server and client gives you all the answers .

sorry guys, new to the dreambox world, anybody kind enough to explain step by step how to set up newcs or point me to a turorial on the same.
