I already said that i am using an FTP program (Flash FXP) and thats with windows....maybe this box doesnt FTP under windows and yes i dont use Unix or linux
now i have to put the VMware workstation on my windows PC ,and install ubuntu and go from there......dm boxes where bloody easier.....but i get there and learn much more then a basic F****** Linux

I work from windows, like many others on this board. If flashfxp doesn't work use another client.

I succesfully use filezilla.

Just be sure that flashfxp is not working, because the azbox puts flashfxp (and filezilla) in the /root directory first. Just use the "directory up" button in flashfxp.

Hi All,

I am having problems with upload speed of the ftp server running on the AZBOZ HD Premium. Running on the latest firmware (0.9.1314), only 2500K/sec are transferred?

Tried on both port 21 and 22 with ftp and sftp. For comparation, i am getting almost 10000k/sec from a nasserver places on the same LAN/router.

Also can I install sambaserver on the box or other packages?

Another problem is mboxcas not starting right away when the box restarts (starts after 10-15secs) and disconnecting sometimes..

I just received my Elite, so far so good, but I got an issue with the channel selection screen: this will probably sound silly, but I can't find how to reach the other blue tabs on top of the screen! No matter what key or combination of keys I press, It's always stuck on ALL, and I just can't reach the SATELLITE, GENRE, PROVIDER, etc tabs. I can't reach the favorites, which is quite a bummer...

How exactly do you switch tabs?

Xilisoft works great to convert the recorded video's. It took some time, but the recorded files are in /DATA/recordfile

And also every time I start the azbox I have to restart incubus a few times to get it running. Is something wrong with software or with the server?

After a firmware upgrade it is always safer to perform a reset to default factory settings, try this on the Azbox and then redo your antenna settings.

Having a DM800 and tried all the images available i can say that comparing the latest Azbox premium image with the video quality its really ordinary. When compared with latest Nabilo and LT image eather the HDEf channels or the normal ones are not great at all.....i know its still early but that definetly has to be improved if they want to sell more of those recievers.

The DiseQc 1.2 Motor is still not working for me.
i like to use the motor and store my possitions manualy, why does not Opensat
fis this dam thing.

The Usals works OK, but becouse i have other boxes here and test all the time, i like to have the choise to store the possitions manualy to the number i like.

Please all those that have contact with Opensat , report this to them
otherwise i do not see this box staying under my tv bench longger

Hi Bobbi,

Developpers are focusing on other things than the CAM because today with MultiCAS you can read nearly all the available cards. So CAM is not today priority but will be fixed later on (don't ask me when).
I also read somewhere that with you can use the Diablo CAM key.bin can be used with MultiCAS, but I didn't test it myself... so you really don't need the PCMCIA slot for the time being... :-)

The DiseQc 1.2 Motor

It works for me...

But !!

The signal meter doesn't.. so its not possible to know if the dish is aligned until you come out of the DiseQc screen and wait for a second or two for the signal meter display to alter.

What I'm doing at the moment is aligning with Usals then tweak with repeating 4 steps east or west using DiseQ, then store when ok.

Which I suppose for all intents and purposes = its crap.

SD over hdmi is so dependent upon the quality / bit rate of the transmission that its hard to be subjective, but I do feel that its not great.

Scart output is still CVS so if you are using a non hdmi display then your going to be a tad disappointed. (tad = f'ing understatement of the week)

However.... I believe that even with all the issues its still worth buying.

A member "Telesat" from DigitalNetworks forum, is just in work on Setting Editor, for AZBox HD receivers.
How much big progress on that work is, I don*t know, but he is a member of AZBox HD Team.

-working stream for the 720p mkv (over the wireless or the LAN there is no way you can watch 720p. mkv or 1080p. Tried same movies on the HDD via USB and there is no problem to play the 720p and even some of my bluray movies are playable)
-working 2xDVB-s2 tuners
-working incubusCamd with no restarts and also mgcamd would be nice
-better video quality on SD channels

Azbox has nothing to do with DGStation, Azbox has work in cooperation with Celrun (look for celrun.tv) which is a famous NMT builder in Asia, so based on the existing Celrun platform they have build two NMT + Sat called Azbox Elite HD and Azbox Premium HD.

Hello mate, the only thing I did was to contact ITGate, Clarke Tech and Technomate, and they all replied that they will have their own linux open source HD receiver soon, some of them even said that theirs receivers are already in production.

This only means that soon we'll have 3 new receivers competing with DM, AzBox, QBox HD and DGStation...

i read somewhere that cccam and DM were in bed together and thats why you never saw cccam anywhere else. However, i've seen FLYCCAM work and thats nothing to do with DM.

Just to inform you that I give another try to firmware 0.9.1473 and everything is working fine even after a reset to factory default settings.

(I guess I download a corrupted image somewhere), now I took it from a safe place and get no problem with it.

So Azbox people, you can give a try to firmware 0.9.1473.

"Tested OK" is a relative notion. With incubuscamd you get _some_ compatibility with newcs, cccam and gbox, but it's buggy and you need to restart it regularly. A new version of incubuscamd which should be more stable is available for some receivers, but not (yet?) for AZbox.

My info told me , price for end user, 250 EUR ( Wi-Fi ), 200 EUR ( Without Wi-Fi ), but i cant confirm this, as you know, price is created by every dealer separatelly. But for me, on first place is important EMU support, becuase we will loose Premiere now, DigiTV soon and so on.... So for me CS is first mark which receiver need to have.....

Finally it's now getting closer to that price, I already found AzBox Elite for 249€. Afterall it seems that wasn't Opensat fault that prices have been inflated, most sellers are just too greedy.

No WIFI conection (AZ trying to conect but all time checking a conection, without conecting!!??)
Wire conection, work OK!
Maybe problem is in not supporting older routers, like my Siemens 555 is!?
Some guys, report that on SpeedTouch (Thomson 780ST) router WIFI is OK!!

I simply connected up my cable and selected 1.1 lnb1 then selected the sat, then repeated the same for lnb2, lnb3 and lnb4.

They are all working fine, however I cant see anything past lnb 4 from ports 4 - 8 on my switch.

Simply because the firmware was available on some sites before you can download it officially from the Azbox Menu. :-)
So I update via USB and that's why I download a corrupted image somewhere... but indeed when it is available I also use the normal Internet upgrade.

For exemple I test 0.9.1387 which was never available via Internet upgrade...

Moreover, FTP in AZbox seems to somehow mess things up in terms of connectivity and everything slows down, it seems to me...

Channel list Backup Procedure

Connect on Your AzBox HD by FTP using any FTP client ( I can recommend free FileZilla FTP Client ).

In case that You dont know how to connect on AzBox HD by FTP look for Thread FTP and SSH Connection.

When You are connected on AzBox HD go in DISK2 folder and backup this Files:

all_channel.dat,
antena.dat,
DVBS.dat

===================
/DISK2/all_channel.dat
/DISK2/antena.dat
/DISK2/DVBS.dat

Please be careful !!! Channel structure sometimes changing.

But now I did - thanx for this! - nothing is happening. It can't see inside the folders I gave the permission to share... No content is seen...

Besides, it saw my network, when I hit the network button. But after that - nada... Even if I gave my IP address... [Now, there's 2 entries for the same entity].

And after trying in a variety of ways, I went to the FTP Client. It did block everything except the Menu button on the remote....

Then I went to the File manager - nothing. Main Menu button only!

So indeed you need to rescan and recreate your favorites with firmware 0.9.1605. So indeed it doesn't workif you upgrade to 0.9.1605 but otherwhise it is the correct way to backup / restore the channel list and favorites.

Remember it is still béta so developpers need to change sometimes the file structure to correct some bugs.

With all those changes creating, today, a Channel Editor is also a challenge because of the different file structure.

Next firmware release is big... new Sigma driver with lots of new stuff and many changes. That requieres more time to make it happen. So I guess that the wait is worth it. They really need to test it and see that everything works.

You are right and Azbox is on the good way, things will improve with the futures firmware release.

The more efficient emu for the time being is: mgcamd + newcs
But mgcamd sometimes get hard to connect to gbox server (I think that you need to have more than 1 D line defined for it to start working properly because it sometimes gets problems to use the 1st D line)

Mbox is working fine except for the Seca channels.

Incubus 0.55 is client CC but is not stable, generally stop working after 30 minutes or too heavy zapping.

We all wait for the official cc release.
