Has anyone got any experience of these, they are claimed to be high gain and good quality and I'll be fitting it to a disecq? The reason I ask is that the bolts on my old lenson heath seized up and trying to get them out managed to bend the bracket which is not too good when tryin to track the arc and even after using an angle grinder the bloody things won't come out!:D

nice little dish excelent performer dish and arm alloy not that strong ideal for disecq motors because they are light I have never had problems with these dishes they also make 68cm some people have reported failures in strong winds but I have not had a problem they also adapt nicely for silent gold 36v type motors

any idea which lnb works best with them? My existing is a .3db sharp which is a couple of years old but seems to work ok but if i change the dish it would probably make sense to change the lnb at the same time.

I have had my 1m Funke for about 18 months on a Disecq, It is exposed to plenty of wind and has never moved an inch, I may even post a pic tomorrow :D

That'd be good to see, I'm toying with the idea of getting one of these to replace my unbranded 1m dish.

The Orbital 1m Dish performs better and can be bought in steel or Aluminium I should know I fit them for a living

The Orbital Aluminium is lighter

have fitted both orbital and funke dishes the steel orbital ones are nothing special as for weight I have no knowledge of the orbital alloy dishes so can't comment the funke dishes work well with disecq motors if the orbital has more gain it could be a better choice I also get paid for this type of work there are other dishes out there that you could consider

If you are using an Orbital Dish you can use the Crytic V bracket motor which fastens stright on to the back of the motor and cant be put together wrong (unless your a total idiot) also I concur the 0.3 Sharp LNB is about the best I have tested

I've had my funke dish up for over 6 years now and it's still going strong - and never needed reset due to high winds - so IMHO it's a great dish.

andrews dishes are my prefered choice with their own polar mount these work off 36v and not really compatable with the little diseq motors 1.2 and 1m available in small sizes

if i had more spare cash and a more understanding missus i'd probably go for an andrews 1.2 but i haven't, so it's a matter of the best compromise. My old lenson and jaeger 90u gave me 12 years good service and i can only hope that the new set up will perform something like as well.
I can only dream of an array including a 2.4m which some of the guys on the scene have installed, how they get away with it with the other half lord knows!
