5400z & FEC 9/10.

Hi guys,

just wondering if its possible to receive the packages that has FEC 9/10,such as premiere on 23.5 e, with 5400 series:rolleyes:?

I think not these are used for hd the humax is sd only

Hi satwyn, according to LYNGSAT this package is sd. But using FEC 9/10! It seems very odd:confused:.

9/10 error correction is used by DVB-S2 only, it is not supported by the Humax which only supports DVB-S/QPSK.
The channels are not in HD but using the DVB-S2 standard. You cannot tune it.

I have an old quali tv receiver not sure if that will do the trick will look into it at a later date unless someone tells me not to bother

Its for German Cabel and as nobody has a box for 9/10 it keeps everybody out.
They are switching to Videoguard very shortly.
And that also keeps everybody out :D

@satwyn...the QualiTV is DVB-S/QPSK only.

just curious any receivers that will clear these channels maybe a computer card when I say clear i mean lock the signal

Any of the new HD receivers with DVB-S2 tuners will lock the signals.
