Anyone know the real reason that Sony withdrew the 60Gb PS3 from sale.I have heard so many stories that the real reason is hard to work out.The latest nonsense is the Blue ray laser was damaging PS2 games discs.I have had a 60Gb for 3 months and to date had no problems after updating with the latest update which gives 24fps/1080P and various other enhancements.I am just curious as I personally think they just got lumbered with a load of unsold 40Gb consoles which are inferior to the 60Gb and were losing money.

didn`t know it had been withdrawn i have a 60 gig it`s about 6 months old no problems with it

It's been withdrawn since December.You can't get a 60Gb anywhere mate.Sony are supposed to be bringing an 80Gb out in February,but it might be more bull. That's the trouble,you don't know what's what with Sony.
