cccam and original card

cant seem to get it to recognise original sly card says no card inserted any ideas

M8 cccam works perfect with the dreambox and will see uk cards.


Have you got official db ?

Have you got just CCcam installed ?

Have you got the card chip facing down ?

Can you try another card and see if that is seen ?

Don't use the CCcam/newcs combination.

only cccam 2.5 installed
card is fine in sly box

Don't think it should matter but what image are you using ?

Have you got another card you could try ( even expired ) just to see if reader is working ?

That card should work in CCcamd, don't feel insulted here but did you place the card in the slot with the chip facing down.

Failing that check to see if the CCcamd cfg file is installed in /var/etc

Also worth checking that there is nothing in the card slot and that the card is going all the way in.
I know we are pointing out the obvious but we do all get it wrong sometimes.

yes the card is in correctly ive tried it with an expired card and get message invalid or no card inserted message
cccam cfg is in var/etc

know it might be a bit obvious, but have you set ccam in auto camd setup as default cam? What image have you installed?

we are all looking at the obviuos but I presume you have obviously tried a reboot and is the chmod permission set right for cfg- usually does it automatically but I have had probs with Smart FTP' Cheers - Brain

M8 been thinking are you using 2.0.5 ?

If so can you try 2.0.4 or lower and see if that works.

Many people in the sat world having problems with 2.0.5.
