Hello all,
A friend of mine has just had a system put in with
a TM 5200 D receiver. I see there is a patch available
for the receiver. I have never patched a receiver before
( I use a Dragon Cam) and was wondering how I go about
putting a patch on this receiver. Your advice would be very
much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Salvatore.

either use a usb stick or use a null modem cable and the darkman 1000 series loader

Thanks for the reply Echelon. Could you point me in
the right direction to obtain the 1000 loader. Have done
a quick search on the site but unable to locate. Also is
there any instructions on how to use it.
Thanks,
Salvatore.

Would also appreciate some advice on updating the 5200D (also my first time):
1. In this section (5000) of the forum there are patches for this machine but can patches for the 1000D e.g. "magic" patch also be used?
2. Are patches always ".stb" files?
3. Cannot find a procedure for updating from USB so is the following correct - go into the USB menu, select Data Transfer, highlight the relevant file and then press the green button (NOF Upload) ?
4. Anything else to be aware of?
Can anyone help please?

The 'Magic' patch is the new name for darkmans patch (different uploader)
If you use the 1000d patch you'll have problems.
2. Are patches always ".stb" files?Yes
3. Cannot find a procedure for updating from USB so is the following correct - go into the USB menu, select Data Transfer, highlight the relevant file and then press the green button (NOF Upload) ? I usually just press OK
4. Anything else to be aware of? You can upload the softcam key file the same way
Can anyone help please?
Hope this helps
