Virgin Media V+ Box

Hi m8's,
I have just had a V+ box installed and noticed a USB connection on the rear. I have read that you can transfer recordings to a dvd recorder through the scart socket but i dont have one. Is it possible to transfer through the USB to a computer.

I have a just got my V+ box, installed, great bit of kit! I was also wondering about using the SATA port to record to a hard disc. A well known mag reviewed the v+ in June last year (they down graded it because it could not get Sly!). There is no comment about recording to hard disc but the photo showing the back of the receiver does say "SATA port could be used for external hard disc". In the text they comment " ..and a powered USB port which is suitable for charging portable devices but whose future intended use remains a mystery". Hope this is of help.
