Panasonic flagship Z850 plasma
Panasonic's range topping Z850 series of plasma screens introduces 46in, 50in, 58in and 65in IP enabled TV's which provide direct access to online content from services such as YouTube.
With a 'Pro Setting Menu' the Z850 series provides access to professional calibration software.
With a 1080p 1920 x 1080 resolution, a claimed contrast ratio of 30,000:1, RS-232C connection, four HDMI connections and a PC input, the Z850 has the specification to warrant its flagship status. With an AVCHD capable SD card reader the PZ850 series can display high definition video recorded on a HD camcorder.
Interestingly, the Z850 is equipped to replicate colours used in movie theaters which comply with the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI). The DCI standard produces a richer colour gamut than traditional DVD's with colours often appearing deeper and more vibrant.
No definite release dates as yet, but expect a UK release for the Z850 series this summer.
