Buying a 6900 HD

I am thinking of getting a 6900 hd Box will i also need to get a VBOX 11 to go with it as i have got a Echostar 3000viaip with a 36v motor, is it much hassle to install.I have done a self install with Sky HD which i bought on e**y

I had this setup with my tm 5500cip with 36v motor, and a tm 6900.
Why dont you just use a loop from the back of your echostar (if its got 1) to your tm6900.

Then use your echostar to move the dish, and use the tm 6900 to view then you wont need a vbox.

Remember though once youve moved the dish to the satellite you want turn the echostar off, then you can view all the transponders through the technomate 6900.

v box is simple to set up the loop option would work fine but the one box option is superior in my opinion you could also reverse the loop then the 6900 would be the master a little simpler maybe

Software updates on the 6900 are absolute crap mate..........

Take your average software update ie Premiere ect ect and see how long it takes to come out for the 6900

And its the most expensive machine technomate have as well :rolleyes:

yes theres been 2 mct patch updates for all the other technomate series yet not one for the 6000 series, although i think the similiar clarke tech hd reciever hasnt had a mct patch yet as well.

I will agree with Tigertim about the patches for the 6000 series slowing up after originally being more on the ball,obviosly I cant speak for the patch makers but there must be a good reason why they have slowed up. I also use the dragon cam which are much quicker with there predator files.

any box is only as good as the last update, i updated the box 2 weeks ago and everything is open with the latest keys, what more do you want? you can manually add the mct keys.

most packages ore open on the 6900 at the moment.
