LG Plasma & LCD on the catwalk

Not so long ago talking about the electronics giant LG and 'Style' in the same sentence would have been the cause of a few ironic smiles . It is a sign of how times have changed that LG are sponsoring this years London Fashion Week.

LG are using the event to launch their LG6000 range of LCD TV's which sport a unique red back and round LED light aperture. With a 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio the range will be available in 32in, 37in, 42in and 47in varieties. With TruMotion 100Hz technology and 4 HDMI (v1.3) inputs the panels in this range are more than just fashion victims.

Also making an appearance, LG's PG6000 plasma range simulate the appearance of 'panes of glass' with an ultra slim frameless design. Available in 42in and 50in the new plasma models also arrive with 4 HDMI (v1.3) inputs.

An invisible speaker system for the new Plasma and LCD line-up further accentuate LG's position as style trailblazers. Actuators around the perimeter of the screens eliminate the need for speaker drivers and associated grilles.

No word yet on when we can expect to see the new panels in the UK, but expect them to break cover some time towards the end of this year.
