If you put Tomtom Mobile v6 on your phone you can use the Western Europe maps - either v675.1409, or v675.1223 - you will also need a separate bluetooth gps receiver.

Make sure you have not got the map folder inside any other folder - the folder should be named ' Western_Europe '.

Have you gone into the Menu - Manage maps - anything showing in there ?
Have you got any other maps on there that are working & did you have any maps on there before you added the Western Europe map ?

Did you install the Tomtom application? The Tomtom western Europe map will only work with that. The pre-loaded Nokia Maps application is completely different.

If you want to load other maps to the Nokia Maps application, you need to get Nokia Map Loader from the Nokia website.

Nokia Maps will run on the internal GPS receiver on the N95, but you have to pay for it.
Tomtom 6 does not support the internal GPS receiver, which is why Russell mentioned about needing a separate external bluetooth GPS receiver.

A good alternative which you can load on the N95 and uses the internal GPS receiver is Garmin MobileXT, which Russell wrote about here:-
Garmin Mobile XT (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=76363&highlight=garmin)

Our friend Russell posted it here:-
Tomtom Mobile 6 (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VOLJS3G3)

Make sure you have an external bluetooth receiver, if not you are wasting your time...

I know we are getting a bit off topic, but this is what Wikipedia says about the SiRFstarIII chip:-

The SiRFstarIII chip is distinguished from earlier SiRF chips and from GPS chipsets made by other manufacturers (Garmin or Trimble Inc for example), largely due to its ability to acquire and maintain a signal lock in urban or densely covered forest environments, and its faster Time to First Fix (TTFF), the time it takes for a GPS receiver to lock onto the satellite signals and determine the initial position. The enhanced abilities of the SiRFstarIII chips are made possible by several features:

A 20 channel receiver, which can process the signals of all visible GPS and WAAS satellites simultaneously.
The chip consumes 62 mW of power during continuous operation.
Assisted GPS can reduce TTFF to less than two seconds. This makes the chip useful for cell phone manufacturers supporting location services (such as the E911 legislation in the United States).
Receiver sensitivity of -159 dBm while tracking; GPS receivers based on this chipset have routinely performed better than receivers based on other chipsets. Reviewers have praised the SiRFstarIII chipset for its superior sensitivity and tracking capabilities.

What map version number ? Make sure you have not got the map folder inside another folder - the map folder should be named ' Western_Europe '

It's the WESTERN_EUROPE_MAP_V.675.1409 version.

If the folder is named correctly and in the right location that map version should work for you (had this one on my N95). Can you try a different map to check that something works.
Try re-starting your phone - if still no luck remove & re-install.

Hi little devil this the intructions that i got from Russel1,and it works fine thanks to Russel1. You run the keygen on your pc (see the instructions) - then generate your activation code & enter the code onto Tomtom.
