Hitachi P50H401 LCD TV Review
Hitachi is one of the most successful consumer electronic manufacturer today. It’s Digital Media & Consumer Products include Plasma and LCD Televisions. One of its products, the P50H401, is a 1080 high-definition set the has a higher overall panel resolution than 720p televisions. At 1080 lines of resolution, the P50H401 offers a line-for-line vertical match for your incoming 1080i TV signal with a 1280 x 1080 total panel resolution.
The P50H401 features PictureMaster HD IV digital video processor that allows the ability to integrate the P50H401 into any existing video system regardless of the type of input or resolution format you are receiving. The PictureMaster processor matches its Full HD1080 panel by upgrading all incoming signals, thus optimizing the picture performance of that source material.
In addition, the P50H401’s 2 component video inputs accommodate a broad range of high-end analog input sources, including cable and satellite receivers, DVD players, VCRs and video games. The PictureMaster also includes MPEG noise reduction, dynamic contrast, dynamic histogram processing, automatic 3:2 film enhancement, four HD aspect modes, and six SD aspect modes.
The 3 HDMI SimplayHD (HDMI-CEC) 1080p compatible inputs included in the P50H401 give it the highest quality connection with home A/V devices. Multiple high-end digital interfaces that are 1080p compatible and include high definition video and audio in a single cable connection mean that this plasma TV connects with ease to the rest of your system.
Its also worth mentioning that the P50H401 includes Hitachi’s ClearWindow Plasma Technology, providing cleaner and smoother image reproduction, higher brightness and reduced visible grid structure on-screen.
The P50H401’s sixteen bit processing increases the number of steps to over 65,000 per color for the smoothest and most film-like image possible, ultimately resulting in that gargantuan color capacity. To maximize the spectacle of all those colors across the screen, the P50H401 provides a wide range of aspect modes so that you can expand the image to the widescreen format while minimizing visual distortion and eliminating the black bars that may be visible on the top or bottom, or even on the sides, of the screen.
