Dear all,
I`ve just got myself a 40 inch LCD television. Whats the best way to clean it and what with?

I don`t want to scratch it or anything bad.

What do you guys do and use?

Cheers

i dont know where you are but if in uk, try John Lewis, the thing i use is silver, with an aeresol spray on one end and a pad on the other, 15 quid but i have found it very very good, saw it in currys as well. looks a bit like a drinks flask.

Distilled Water (Water boiled from kettle) Warmish water is ok - not HOT! Then use very fine Tissue paper or Camera lens stuff.

DO this on a 42inch TFT SONY + Also Laptops etc for years.

Ordinary water... a fine spray from one of those spray bottles (Gardeners type) and an ordinary micro fibre cloth(Dead cheap from anywhere ALDI TESCO ASDA etc) just spray from a safe distance a very fine mist and wipe GENTLY with the micro fibre cloth until the cloth just glides across the screen. Thats it :)

Yes use a fine mist of boiled then cooled water,
With 50% isopropil alcahol on a cool screen.
The alcahol will not damage the screen.
Microfiber cloth as well to wipe it clean. It will not smear with this mix and also evaporates fast too.

i think the book says water or slightly soapy water - NOTHING ELSE - ESPECIALLY ALCOHOL BASED PRODUCTS CAN DAMAGE THE SCREEN !!
