When TPS moves to Astra will it be using AES and will we be able to get it as we do know?

That is the big question. I guess the answer is - only if they open ID 007C00 on Astra 1.

I suppose we will have to wait until someone with a genuine TPS card does some fishing or tells us that his card will be swapped before the change.

does anyone know if the boxes are bing swaped out? or are the dishes just being re-aligned?

if the boxes are not being swaped out chance is they will be using aes however this may work in an envelope with nag3

My French isn't good (understatement) but the TPS site seems to just say move your dish to Astra 1 and call the provider to revalidate. I suppose it depends if the current TPS cards are all Via 2.6 ready, if so then no more 007C00

I can't find a timescale though but it seems you can change now and most of the TPS channels appear as CanaSat.

Baaaaah

Correct posted while I was typing.

This seems to be the vital bit:

Advantage Freedom CAN***** you can skip d
'

Subscription to another comprising more or fewer channels and / or switch

Options at any time.

You will not have to pay access fees to € 40 at the time of migration of your subscription.

At the time of the migration of your subscription, e security deposit you paid for your hardware GST, will be automatically transferred to Can*****.

This will change nothing for you.

Your first CAN***** levy will be held on 4 of the month following the migration of your subscription. The amount of your levy remains unchanged.

Except, of course, if you choose in the future to modify your own subscription to enjoy more or less of channels depending on your mood.

In most cases, if you follow the steps of the migration, you do not sign a new contract, or to send new debit authorization.

Indeed, we wanted to simplify your life Subscriber avoiding as much as possible the administrative steps.

In this case, the maturity date of your contract remains the same and you keep your seniority .

You can already take advantage of new channels on TPS, for the same price, with the same equipment and depending on your plan: 7 new channels Cinecinema, Sport +, Planet Thalassa, Direct 8, Comedy!

Canal J, Filles TV, 13 th Street, MTV and MTV Pulse Idol and Sci Fi without changing your equipment or reorient your dish.

And to migrate bouquet CAN*****, our teams will accompany you and will support the transition to this new technology offers, in accordance with procedures and a timetable that will be personally communicated by letter.

In most cases, you will not have to change their equipment.

However, we are looking at each situation to make a diagnosis of your equipment and whether it is necessary to change it or not.

For example, if you are a subscriber PLATINIUM, you must change your terminal.

So it is a Cana1Sat takeover. I'd be surprised if the compromised 007C00 survives

The Swiss with SRG now run with Viaccess 2.6 only and only way to currently get this is their card (or share).
So 2.6 or N3 will both mean a little wait....

The Cana1Sat package (19E) is largely similar to the TPS/Multi package (13E).

I suspect that they will totally merge the program content with time. When the take-up of 19E reaches over 80% then they will announce a switch-off date to put pressure on the stragglers. Some TPS subscribers will need a new box so, just like many other providers have done already, there will be a cheap box deal to move the last few.

Astra 1 (19E) will become a major European bird again soon (by 2012 at the latest) as the 40 odd German FTA ana1ogue transponders start ramping down.

I am sure that once they move to Astra that it will be open as some stage afterwards, we just have to be patient!
