Panasonic TX-32LZD80 offers Full HD

With a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) the Panasonic TX-32LZD80 is sure to re-ignite the debate on whether such a high resolution on a relatively small screen can make a difference to picture quality.

Along with 100Hz processing, Full HD resolution on a 32in panel is currently one of the most hotly debate features of flat screen TVs. With our review of the TX-37LZD70 we felt that a Full HD spec made a difference, but this technology on a 32in screen is another matter.

Elsewhere, the TX-32LZD80 adds another HDMI input over its predecessor the TX-32LXD70 taking the total to 3 which are now also v1.3 spec. There is also an SD card slot for amongst other things displaying digital photos. The TX-32LZD80 sports the latest incarnation of Panasonic's picture processing engine, V-Real 3.

First impressions from various sources on the web suggest that Full HD resolution on the TX-32LZD80 does not have a huge impact. We are hoping to get hold of one of these screens soon, to see for ourselves.
