You must have heaps of patience - this receiver has been announced for how many centuries?

it should have

2 x DVB Common-Interface slot
4 x Smartcard-Reader (Dreamcrypt)

who ever going to have 4 cams in a dreambox 8000, 4 cards for card sharing, definitely ..

2 slots is crap as some people need more, i suppose the reason is that you buy more box's ..

ok i want one aswell :banghead::respect-057:
and yes 4 card slots would be ideal instead of Cam slots..
anyone any info even when the 800 dreamHD will be in stock would that be more realistic so i can see some HD feeds in 4:2:2 :respect-057:
please some info when we can expect to be able to buy the 800HD dream as the 8,000 dreambox seems is a distant prospect....:banghead:

Looks like DM800 is distant also. The story about its releasing started the same way as it has about DM8000...

Wouldn't win any awards from me for having an external 12v power supply - could they not be bothered to incorporate it into the box?

According to Dream's own site, Homevision and Satvision both say it's 'Sehr Gut' _http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/english/products_dm800.php

I don't see 12v power supply mentioned in the 8000 specs above, you sure your not confusing the 800 with the 8000?
