Just bought this 50" HD plasma screen, and I have to say that I am well impressed. Costing me just £1,200 I believe it is every bit as good as the top-end Pannys and a really ***y looking beast as well.

Just had a look at it M8 - and yes it DOES look good, especially for its price, but it has a contrast ratio of 15000:1 compared with Panasonic & Pioneer 20000:1 on very latest models - and I'm under impression that is a very big factor when considering a class HD ready TV? :D:D

To be honest I can't tell the difference once you get to about 5000:1

I thought this set was too good to be true - spent the first few days watching HD movies etc. with sound coming from external amp/speakers. Once you start watching normal stuff with the internal speakers things are not so good - the sound is very compressed and unpleasant to listen too. I guess I'll be using the amp most of the time then :(
