Is this Samsung 40 any good speck seem impressive how would it compare to the Sony Bravia kdl-40x3500 and is the back up poor for Samsung its a hell of a lot cheaper.

I have one and it is ace there is a large review on it if you do a google search i got it from currys in november it was priced @ £1299 with stand then i seen it on the net for £789 and currys then matched it.
Got my technomate hooked up to it along with my Xbox360 and PC with hdmi out 1080p.
Its one of the cheapest HD Full 1080p i've seen around.

£999 with a samsung dvd recorder which i didnt need. asked how much just for tv and was told same price as dvd rec is FREE?

Thanks for the offer docsquires but I should be able to see one in Cork city, still undecided may hold off until later on this year for my dream Sony 40 X3500, still way over priced though I think saw one on e*ay for around 2200 euro, the Samsung is really good value though and very tempting.
