sky card and hd boxes question

is there any HD boxes that can update sky card instead of keeping a sky box just for updating the card every month

im not on about reprogramming the card, i would like to put sky card in to dragon or diablo to keep it updated

using dreambox and a certain emu that's not public .using this in it config should make it Au the cards

in g***_cfg:

technomate tm9100 , various dreamboxes , and probably several other boxes can accept and run the card

on the other hand , the questioner asked about HD boxes as crabber rightly pointed out , and as this is the HD section please keep it on topic from hereonin

So its just that ONE Technomate Echelon M8 - and not my 6900HD?:D

no , not your tm6900hd with the bad sd picture :)

on the other hand , it was rumoured that the tm3000 series could use the freeview card , but there were reports of cards being screwed , so its not advisable to use that model , and its not hd

so if anyone has an answer for post number #1, please give it , otherwise please do not post with any other trivia

Well, there are solutions, but nothing straight forward I guess.

I have a Kathrein and serve the HD card in a DM500C, but it could just as easily be served from a Windoze PC using NewCS and a phoenix.

Or maybe even the the box Pipino is posting about here https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=82839 which he says can connect to a server(read NewCS on a PC) using Newcamd protocol, that would work also as long as it passess the EMM to the card.
