JiBoot_4.1 (Thanks Doume for your hard work.)
It's an equivalent to iBoot, but totally rewritten in JAVA
It should be usable on Windows, Linux
Has been tested with Windows XP, & Vista
And also with Linux Red Hat FC4 & FC7 (32 and 64 bits) and SUSE10.3
It's required to install at least a Java runtime version 1.6 update 3 minimum (update 5 recommanded)
On your PC : untar the .tgz file into a clean directory
Install and check a JRE 1.6 on the PC
On Linux, clic on Linux_run.sh , and on Windows clic on Win_run.bat
Configure parameters for one (or more) box(es) using the 'Settings' button
Enjoy....
Following features should be available
- Settings, of course, to configure your receiver(s)
- check /mount any removable media
- JiBoot scripts installation onto receiver (including last bootmenue version, without flickering)
- multiboot firms installation
- Delete a firm from multiboot
- Rename a firm in multiboot
- backup/restore firms in multiboot
- backup / restore of flash configuration (/var)
- Flash a new image
- Force new password into flash image ( replace null password or 'technomate' by your own )
- configure bootmenue parameters (timeout, video mode), et force an immediate boot
- session telnet onto receiver
All operations on flash should be usable even if it's a receiver having not multiboot installed (ex : TGS200)
- backup /var
- flash a new image
- force your own password
- restore /var
If a version of iBoot script is installed on your box, it's necessary to force a re-installation of JiBoot scripts onto receiver, because some of them have been modified, or added.
Don't worry, they'll still be compatible with iBoot 3.0a, and you'll have possibility to continue with iBoot 3.0a if you want.
All existing firmwares in multiboot will be kept, unless you reformat, of course...
