hello guys i'm trying to set up my old mans motor for him but i'm failing badly

tried it twice now on two separate days and getting no where

his kit is a triax 1.2 m dish
a T.M 2200 motor

checked his pole is plum ok

now the bit thats getting me is the motor and dish settings

would anyone be able to tell me which elevation settings i should have for his TM 2200 motor and what settings for his triax 1.2 metre dish please

here is location info

latitude 55.872 North
longitude -4.123 West

satellite 1 degree west thor

elevation 26.3
azimuth (true) 176.2
azimuth (magn) 180.8
skew -2.1

what i've done is sent the motor to 1 degree west and then aligned his dish to the sat using a horizon sat meter but when i move the dish it does not pick up any more sats

i,m thinking its to do with the motor elevation on the TM 2200 motor

any help appreciated lads this is a ball buster

thanks

Gary

I have a 1.1m triax td110 dish , and if yours is the same then the dish offset is 26 degrees

so you need to subtract the latitude from 60 , which is 60 - 56 = 4 , and subtract 4 from 26 = 22 degrees

so set the dish on 22 degrees

set the latitude on the motor to 55.5 degrees or so

now deal with the longitude ( or use usals on the receiver and set it to go to 1 west after inputting the long and lat in the box )

your longitude is 4 west approx , so 1 west is actually 3 degrees east of you , so set the motor to 3 degrees east and then look for bbc world on thor

or use 4 west as your due south for 0 degrees on your motor , seeing as you are on the 4 west location already
