hd channels on thor

hi gus can anyone help. just bought myself a technomate 6900 and a diablo. scanned channels and inputted a channel list but cant get a signal on any hd channels. tryed inputing frequencies too but no signal. all other channels are fine with signals around 80% mark.

their is hd channels on thor m8, but you need a diablo to clear them...trouble is i cant get them tuned in........anyone help ?

On TM, go to Advanced Search, find the relevant transponder, then set transmission to DVB-S2 8PSK, FEC to 3/4 and PILOT to OFF.

Should then see transponder, and you should tune with either search no problem. Alter settings for all three HD transponders.

I've just helped someone with the same problem - no signal. It's those settings on the TM I mentioned above. What is this 'Pilot' thingy?

Not sure what this 'Pilot' is, I'm not really familiar with the Technomate. Soon found it though!

Is your 6900 a (HD STB),
If its a (SD STB) and you have been able to scan in HD Channels
it will give hope to a lot of people with (SD Boxes).

The TM 6900 is a HD receiver, very good too.

I have just tried out all variations on my TM6900HD on all three TP's and no joy.

@sparky_dog : Can you please; please confirm, that you are using a TM6900HD receiver!

@Bbigfoot : I can get and open up HD chan's on other satellites with the TM6900HD no problem, so it is an HD STB

That's what I altered to get a TM 6900 HD working on these three TPs this afternoon... not my receiver, someone elses who was struggling with the same problem.

Also check that the S/R is correct at 25000 for the HD transponders.

Changed the FEC to 3/4 and 11341V works fine. Thanks for your input. Now to sort out the others

PS. Just to mention, Only the HD chan's that are DVB-S2 8PSK open with the Diablo on my set-up. I have TP's 11341V and 11421H only working at the moment.
