Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-ray player now in the UK
Samsung's 4th generation Blu-ray player is starting to appear in retail outlets in the UK.
The BD-P1500 supports the Blu-ray 1.1 profile and features a built-in Ethernet for firmware downloads and access to other on-line content. HDMI v1.3 connection gives the BD-P1500 the ability to bit stream both Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio.
The BD-P1500 can up scale standard DVDs to 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions and supports 1080p24 playback.
With a smooth uncluttered facia, the BD-P1500 is quite a departure stylistically from its predecessor the BD-P1400 which did not gain a huge following for its looks.
