i see keys sometimes posted on the web for digiALB in dcw , i have tried them in my biss menu on my technomate and they have worked. are these keys anything to do with conax ? if not how do we view the channel for a short time with these keys.

Digital Albania is transmitting in Conax so how a bisskey would do anything is beyond me.

A biss key and a fixed dcw has been covered here on the forum before. They are basically the same even though Biss & conax are totally different.

Fixed dcw's can be noticed when logging. Digitalb seem to use a repeating-scrolling set of fixed dcws that change each week, if that makes sense. So they go ~dcw1, dcw2, dcw3, dcw4 blah blah dcw20, then back to the start ~same dcw1, samedcw2, samedcw3 and so on repeating for a while until they change the following week.

I dont know enough about conax myself but it seems if you could manage to add each 'fixed' dcw that was being repeated that week it would clear? In the way that a list of t p s keys would be included in a softcam. I'll let the experts deal with emulation as sharing is far easier :).

so how would you enter the dcw keys? in the same way you would eneter biss????

If digitalb was stuck on a fixed dcw, like we used to get with some viaccess **** packages, then yes its as easy as putting the keys & provider into biss softcam some receivers. You enter the lots of 8 byte control words, usually 2 sets / 16 pairs, in the way you would enter a biss key.
Currently i do not think Digitalb are fixed and thats why you havent seen keys posted, but I do believe they are back to their usual scrolling method of 'pre-set' dcw's. At previous points in time we've even seen odd sky channels on fixed dcw's but it will only be a temporary thing (and rare with them), but the point is the encryption can be totally different to biss but if the cam/emulation can reply with the correct bottom line control word it opens -exactly how biss works.
