Are the above any good (in the short term)? Someone I know is moving to the US and selling his box he bought from Ma**ins? It has 2 CI slots I wondered if it was internally patchable or would I need to buy a dragon cam or use my old conax cam (4.0 if tthis could be upgraded)? (My hummy 5400 died a year ago and using a skystar2 card since then so I feel out of date with sat boxes:respect-053:). Or maybe I should wait for the ibo***0 or dm800?

Good for hd if you are not after pvr. There were rumors about pvr but has gone quiet. But as i said it is a good basic HD box and works with Dragon/Diablo

Not pachable though... no emus

hello mate i have the same receiver i think its ok not the best for hd pictures, it struggles with occasionally with different cams, the menu is a pain in the arse well for me anyway. Read also that some of the M****S receivers were seconds and sometimes faulty.
hope that helps

To be honest with you, once I have bought a cam/ cas3 programmer thats another £130 and the box will cost me£120 secound hand (or 159 new) so may wait for the ipbo***0 and just use images via my PC network connection. Unless there is a receiver that can do that on the market with HD- the technomate HD- can I patch that?

I have the Pace HD receiver which has a great picture but no good with CAMS.

Just bought a Fortec Passion from Fleabay for HD use with my Diablo 2.3 until the IPBo x 9 00 or Vantage HD8000 appears in a month or two.
