tuning freesat on a 5400

thought i'd be able to get the freesat channels on my 5400 with motor, but when on 28E the autoscan picks up none of the free uk channels and putting the frequencies manually finds no signal either.

Should i be able to get these channels and if so how.

hi pusher,
using the modified pet123 you should get most of the freesat stuff under 28 e

thanks for advice, all the 28 e channels are on my box now.

Problem is now I get zero signal on all these channels.

its a motorised set up, everything works fine on 5e, 1w, 13e, 19e.

Does anyone know what it could be?

when your dish is at 28e look for signal using meter probably not tracking properly

yes thanks that was it, it just needed to tweak the dish position a bit further east

glad you're sorted all we need now is something worth looking at at 28e i suppose the HD channels are a bonus

can anyone help does anyone know if and when bbc/itv are changing from 28d to 28a? where i live (czech rep) we are outside the 28d footprint.thanks for any feedback

as far as I know bbc ect will not be moving if and when they do don't expect better signal the reason is they want to try and keep the signal focused on the uk
