Problem with TomTom One XL UK

Cant seem to get any maps to work on the external SD card do you have to do this different as it has the UK map installed on the internal memory I bet Russel knows the answer for this one:frown:

If you are using the map on the memory card I think you also need a copy of the software from the internal memory putting on the memory card.

No I haven't - I've got a Go500. How did you copy the files from your Tomtom - try using Tomtom home to make a back up & then restore to the memory card.
What software version is on your Tomtom & what map version are you trying to use ?

have same problem and tomtom home won't restore because it now sees sd card in slot.
done everything all went perfect just won't see new map sure its working from internal memory only.
anyone any ideas

Was it do with the currentmap.dat file??
I have transferred the program data to the card.

1.backup your tomtom to hard drive folder (c:tomtom)
2. copy this to sd card
3.put new map you want on sd card
4. open Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsyste mpatcher
5. run 'RunMeforAllAutomatic' press 1
6. now with card in tomtom choose tomtom drive eg f: and start.
7 now press 2 and choose tomtom drive again eg f:
8 now press 3 and ente should all be ok to use on tomtom home as well

Thank you for the above - very useful!
It was like the old days - I had to switch from my now accustomed to Mac to Windows and then we were doing DOS batch files!
