Did you know that all DM500S satellite receivers are made in CHINA even the Dream Multimedia ones, explains why they were so easily "cloned"

Thanks for the link, just checked my DM500 no clone **** detected but I am still suspicious the MAC address on the carton and the MAC address on the DM500 lable match but when I configured it on my router with MAC address filtering I had no internet connection on the DM500 so I telnet onto the box ran ifconfig and I had a different MAC address on the DM500 could be just a genuine error in packing I have also checked photos showing the difference in the boxes it passed all but one item the ethernet connector is not stamped not sure what to do next the box is working OK fot the moment
