help with servers !!

Hello all,

I did a reset to factory default settings and all scrambled channels are gone !!!
Is it that i lost my server settings ??
what can i do now guys ??? i dont know the address or ip of the server i had !!! where can i get a list of servers please ???

Please help since i didnt use that receiver for a long time!!!

Make sure all so that you have the EMU on have you got the smart card in the menu.

Actually i don't have that smart card showing in the menu even after pressing 9999 on the remote control unit....what firmware shall i upload to the stb ?? any specific version ?? cuz i cant get to edit the server with the one i have in pm message, when pressing Fn button i get only weather and no info about network!!.....please guide me through to fix this problem.....thanks Graham7 :-)

Press 8888 and you should get the smart card it not 9999 on the pay SW. Look to see if it works and if not do what I sent to you by PM. :D

PS not sure if you lost the code if you do it to factory default settings cannot remember.

OK bro i will try that later on and keep you posted, but tell me, in case that 8888 code doesn't work, which firmware shall i flash on my stb ?? and whats the difference between visionnet s and visionnet cis and how to know which one i have......

CIS is model for CAM modules.... (what is writen left of display on your receiver? VN-8000S or VN-8000CIS)

for enable Smartcard , for payserver SW is 8888
also for setup payserver IP address and enter code you go to MENU - Installation - FN

you dont loose code if only reset to factory defaults, only channel list... payserver have big BUG and you CANT use motor channel list... allways when you go to change antenna settings, you lose channels list...


P.S.
go to Xvision forum and in Software and Co you have all (payserver software, active IP addresses)

also if you have active code entered in payserver SW and if SW 1.24 or lower, DONT UPGRADE WITH NEW SOFTWARE.... you be lost code

only SW 1.27 and newest have code protection only for Software Upgrade... (if you done Upgrade bootloader with 1.27 or newest SW)

If you have got 1.24 on do not update as dxdy says if you have the pay server working like Nova. If 8888 does not work try 9999 may take more than 4 times to get it to comes on.

thanks for the info guys but maybe here i did a mistake since the sw i have now is 1.29 so i dont know if this is bad or not lol.....anyway i did everything graham7 told me in the pm, the only problem i face now after entering the IP address is the access code !!! where can i get that from ???

for xvision just google "Xvision - welcome to the pleasure dome"

1.29 is good if this payserver SW... if you load original 1.29 this not good ;)

No you will not find then there but will find the URL for the server when they change.

DrPaulos, I notice your an active member on the other forum. Do you think it's worth buying a protek or it it likely to go the way of visionet very soon. seems to be a trend of supplying these receivers for a period of time just to sell their kit and then pulling the plug on the whole deal

only payserver working with payserver sw (if you have official sw 1.28 this not payserver) if menu look this this is payserver sw

also you need payserver access code (you must buy this)
and server IP address (go to Xvision forum for IP info and updates)

I don't know that error, but either way I don't understand what you mean about your own server. The server connection is proprietary and not public, so I don't see how you propose to connect to your server.

visionnet not support public or private servers.... only own visionnet payserver


if you have in visionnet official sofware or software for clones (not payserver), you must use Boxloader or VisionTools

if you have in visionnet payserver software, you can use only STBloader

you have 1.24 CLNT version in firmware section.... tools is in tools section.... but software is useless without latest server IP address and payserver access code (you must buy this, where, dont ask here... you must find in your country who sell visionnets and ask him)
