Looks like a promising spec, I have downloaded the manual but not yet finished, however looks interesting...

If this is a well supported, reliable and bug-free (!) then looks like a bargain. Price in Europe is €299 to maybe less than £240, a good price if it delivers :)

As i do uploading software for octagon in here, far as i can see one of best support box is octagon you can see in octagon section as well so there is not worry about support but i can not say anything about box yet i dont have it just yet, but getting one soon as in uk:respect-059: then we will see, when you look at the spec it is wery good and can connect server:respect-069:

this new rx seems to tick all the boxes for me, I was considering the Technomate 6900, but I'm impressed by the potential of this unit, and will definately be considering it...

Are there many Octagon users on Pimps? What are your impressions of their other boxes? Do they work well with diablo, and how good is the english language support? And what about usablility, German rx's can be powerful but a pain in the butt to use due to over complicated, illogical interfaces?

I'm very intrested in this as well. Was on the verge of getting a DM800 but this seems to do everything the same and is nearly £100 cheaper.
Am I correct in assuming Emus like G8ox will work exactly like they do on dreamboxes etc?

However, the downside is that although it is a linux box, the advantage you have with the DM800 and IPBo***00 etc... is that they have open firmware, while the octagon is closed, maintained by just one team, which limits its potential functionality :(

It supports diseqc and usals, but you will need a v-box for a 36v motor, like almost all receivers these days
