Hi M8s

I was on the verge of buying a Panny TH37PX80 for £649 inc. delivery when I noticed that the local Comet were selling the PX8B for £549.
Problem is the PX80 is 1080I but the PX8b is 1024x768.
Question is - is it worth while stretching the budget (hence delaying the purchase of a HD Darkbox or Techomate) to get the higher res. panel.
It's my intention to watch UK/German standard def and laterly HDTV (no intentions of buying a HD DVD player yet).
Any thoughts?

Regards

Go for the px80, but shop around.
I just got mine for £549 including 5 year warranty from John lewis. They will do a price match with Sound and Vision in Bolton and they do 5 years warranty as standard. S&V have it up for £564 but for some reason JL gave it me for £549.
Seems to get cheaper every week but its a fine telly

Yep good choice but here's a tip if you make some minor adjustments in the engineers service menu to the amount of over scan of the picture there will be marked improvement of the picture quality than previously it was out of the box ok.:seeya:

Best Regards.

Agree, the Px80 is the one to go for and it is now only £563.95 at Sound & Vision. Also agree with the John Lewis suggestion.
