had this for some time now never had any trouble yesterday tried to switch on from stand by " nothing" dead as a dodo unable to get out of stand by mode remote or manualy phoned various repair people would not touch plasma phoned pioneer told to turn off from mains to do a reset bingo on it came hope this helps someone

Well i have got an interesting/annoying problem with mine, Pioneer PDP43HDE approx 4 years old , i am using a Thor 4 way HDMI switchbox,with Xbox 360 Elite,Pioneer DV 868 AVI dvd player,Humax HDCI2000 and PS3 connected,the 360 and Humax work fine, the Pioneer DV868 player and PS3 will no longer display a picture via the Thor switch box or with a direct HDMI cable connection(they have all worked okay for the past 18 months,and all work via HDMI on my Samsung 40" LCD,I have tried different cables phoned the dealer i bought it from(Pioneer specialist) who suggested turning off from mains for 24 hours and unplug everything and try again as maybe the media box HDMI socket for the plasma had lost it's ability to "handshake" with each bit of kit,needless to say it did not fix problem,but it's very strange it works with 2 bits of kit and not the other two,phoned and emailed Pioneer support and had a pretty useless reply from them and no further contact from them when they wanted further information(which i provided) from me regarding the fault ,would not put me off buying another Pioneer as i still think they are the best Plasma,Pricey but worth it,
