new hd receiver

thinking of getting new hd receiver and diablo cam, using dragon in humax at moment could do with some some advice on which would be the best buy between topfield7700 and tm9100 just read alot of posts on board about them both and still dont know ,running a 1m dish with h-h mount if this affects any which i dont think it does any help would be a grateful thanks

With the 6900 you can patch it, the Topfield you cannot, also take a look at the Octagon or if you feel brave the DM800

6900 can be patched and generally the forum support for this model is pretty good *-)

Prices are really botteming out now on HD receivers...

thanks for replys just wanted something pretty good ,dont mind messing with them when it comes to patches etc but didnt want something that you spend most of the time downloading software and have software probs, like the sound of tm cos of usb stick update thanks a lot

220 thats good cheapest is 269 that ive found plus a dealer is doing black 1s for 325 which i quite like the sound of a black 1 cos of the rest of my stack
