Sony V4000 LCD TV's break cover

Adopting their now familiar 'draw the LINE' approach to styling, Sony have released details of their forthcoming V4000 series of LCD TV's.

Available in 40in, 46in and 52in sizes the V4000 series features Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolutions along with a claimed 33,000:1 contrast ratio.

Even though Sony describe their new design philosophy as 'minimalist', these latest series of LCD TV's from Sony are certainly some of the more adventurously designed panels we have seen from the Japanese manufacturer for a while.

The V4000 series benefit from the latest incarnation of Sony's picture processing engine 'Bravia Engine 2' and the new screens also come equipped with 24p true cinema along with 3 HDMI inputs.

As a step down model from the W4000 series of LCD TV's the V3000 loses USB picture frame functionality, WCG-CCFL backlight, 10bit video processing and xv colour.

There has been no confirmation of UK prices for the V4000 series but expect them to appear towards the end of June. If you can't wait for these new arrivals, Sony's W4000 series are out now.
