Sky's Electronic Programming Guide revamped for HD

Reflecting the growing importance of High Definition (HD) programming and their desire to induce Standard Definition only subscribers to upgrade, Sky have revamped their Electronic Programming Guide (EPG) for HD.

The new EPG features High Definition graphics along with stacked series programmes and what Sky are calling their 'Mini TV' technology. Mini TV provides functionality to watch TV and browse the EPG at the same time.

The 'Mini TV' screen will appear at the top right of the screen at around one eighth normal picture size. The 'stacking' feature places programmes that are part of a series in one listing, making it easier to find and record every episode.

A spokesperson for Sky commented ... "Because we believe in giving customers as much choice, control and flexibility as possible, we want to provide an easy way for them to find, store and watch the programmes they love."
