Ok guys tell us what are you guys using.

Newnigma2 images. I like their concept of keeping their images unpatched and clean from too much nonsense.

Nabilo, just seem to like it better than the others. It seems to me the most stable.

i've got all the avaliable images on multiboot, and still end up back with Gemini got 3.60 on atm always reliable and got some lovely little tweaks on it, with the garish GP2 skin but i've got to love that as well.

Gemani 3.6 after trying all of them -- Find Gemani 3.6 Very stable and no daily crashes.

Gemini 3.60.. Have tried Peter Pan, NewNigma, Nabilo, OoZooN, Boxman.. And just keep returning to Gemini. It's rock solid, and neat and clever.

Just wish there were a key downloader that worked properly with it like the Nabilo one...

Give you little channel symbols for the channels... Think it stands for provider icons...

So the little channel icons show up on the infobar...

i am on gemini 3.6 not as stable as above comments but like the look of it and ease of use for a newby to dreamboxes.

NABILO HERE AND FROM ALL OTHERS I have tried it seems the best no crashes no reboots

I have oozoon in flash, gemini 3.6, peterpan 1.1, newnigma 2.21, nabilo v0.3, Pli Jade, EDG Nemisis 1.2, LT fifth all on usb with barry allen.

I use nabilo though, as it has some nice features and seems very stable (infact the only image i've had any problems with was EDG nemisis), but in 2nd place has to be LT Fifth for me, as I like the layout of it, just it wasn't stable when running g**x unless I changed from the default skin, and none of the others look as good imo.

The only thing I don't like about nabilo is the analouge clock.

EDG-NEMESIS images are the best, they come with matrix skins which are great.

gemini 2.90 on my 7020s

Even though its really really really old, its probably the only image that doesnt use many processes and does not crash my box while the motor is turning.

have newnigma in flash, and just setting up the lt image on usb.

Out of the two, I much prefer the look and feel of lt image. Not sure about it's stability though, as it's only been on there a few hours and most of that is without use...

I agree, I think the Kerni-HD1 skin is very nice and stylish but it does have small fonts/text. It´s almost as if it is made for very large screens. I just use Newnigma2Skin instead, it does lack a few features like resolution info and uses SNR in % instead of dB but at least the text is big enough. Sadly, the lcd is also not working properly with Newnigma2Skin.

If you´re using the Newnigma2Skin, then try the attached skin.xml, I modified it to show S/N in dB and also includes video resolution
ftp it to /usr/share/enigma2/newnigma2Skin/ and reboot or restart GUI.

does the image you use have an effect on the tuner sensativity, i have just upgraded to gemini 3.9 and now i can't seem to scan most transponders. I am only able to see 495 services on 28.2?

No, it should not have any effect on the tuner sensitivity as long as all the drivers are up to date (and they should be as long as the image is compiled recently). The fault lies elsewhere.

Was always a gemini fan with 720 but with dm800 got to be nabilo or newenigma2
reason I find gemini buggy with dm800 always have trouble with settings I use Ikra .nabilo or newenigma2 are both excellent and updated

nabilo is fantastic... it just has everything!
there are still patches and tweaks needed, but anywat it's already a great image.

i am using gemini 3.8 and iam having loads of problems with the network dropping out, freezing up, etc...

which nablio version is best with db800 and do i just load it over the top of my gemini.

Also is it the same to set up motors etc..

All images are virtually the same, with minor differences in the setup, and minor to major differences in the addons and way things are run.

Reason I'd imaging you're having problems with network dropping out and freezing etc, is that you're running cs on your 800. I found that when I had more than about 30-35 c-lines, I would receive the same problems. Try running with no more than 20 c-lines and see if it works ok then... I'd bet that this is your problem!

I don't know whether it's the drivers for the 800 or the version of cccam. I imagine it's the cccam version, as why does it use sly uk cards on other boxes, but with 800 doesn't! So maybe with 2.10 we will be sorted on this front?

Wow 35 clines I have only 4 but one of these was redundant so I have removed it. and it seems to have settled down a little. So maybe i will wait to see if things settle down, before I change images. And lets hope 2.10 comes soon

Been running blackhole, but tried newenigma2 2.2.1 recently and it seems very stable, better than some of the others I have tried.

Only problem I am having is with my s*y uk card. Can only find cccam and newcs 1.62 separately not the cccam/newcs I need to get the card working? Not sure how to install the older version of newcs manually in order to get it working with cccam. Shame, would like to give this a try.
