Hello All,

I'm looking for an lnb my dish is 60M from the house and I have been reading that a Inverto 0.3db is better than an Invacom 0.3 when the dish is more than 30m as it has more output. Can anyone clarify this is correct?

Thanks for your help.

The inverto has about 5 dB extra amplification indeed.

Don't know what coax you use or will use, but i have the invacom feeding 35 meters of CT 125, no problems at all here.

Using CT100 i have no experience, but good coax always pays off

Thanks for your reply. I have not installed the cable yet. Can you please tell me whether your cable is laying directly on the ground or is some how protected from the weather etc?

Thanks for your help.

You should ideally route the cable through a conduit buried in the ground. This offers protection, and also means if you need to replace the cable, or add another for a second lnb, you can pull the cable(s) through the conduit without digging up the lawn again :)

It took a good 12 months for my lawn to settle down after digging the trench for the cables to my dish, and MrsB would give me grief if I did it again... Use a smooth walled conduit, not the ribbed type used for embedding in walls.

I use cheap plumber's plastic pipes . You can get snap on joints. Easy to assemble.
