Got this last night but didn't get a chance to look properly and see just what exactly it has fixed. Can anyone elaborate?

A couple of threads already running on this, although nobody really seems to know whats new with this release! I presume people that have updated have also done a factory reset, as this is required to properly activate new firmware.

Just wondering, has anyone tried scanning in Premiere Direkt, or ITV HD or any other channel that wouldn't previously scan in on this box? Maybe thats what it does?

a no i didn't do a factory reset i didn't want to lose all my channels mite try that later if i can get near the bloody tv

i always did a factory reset but still no noticable difference for me using my own ch list for version 11 and tried latest laurals with 2.2diablo cam.

Does anyone else find the sound settings keep resetting back to German on Premiere 1-4 and HD, and on the PPV channels, but all others are fine? Why couldn't they fix that?!

Also, why on the EPG is there an unused space next to the channel number, squashing the name into 4 characters? Surely there should have been an option to not displaye the channel number in the EPG so you could actually read the channel names?!

scaning for itvhd still finds only brit shorts and 4 radio.
for prem direkt chs on 11718/11757/11798 all showing normal chs in search but still no direkts coming up in scan.

I tried it today, reset factory settings, lost all channels, tried tuning in Premiere Direkt channels, nothing, sport channels nothing, this receiver didn't pick up Eurosport HD, or asian channels on 13E, this software update fixes nothing at all, the tuner on this receiver is awful.

I e-mailed Humax about what was new in this software update, they told me that they will be posting a spec list on the website within a week.

(Their website still says that the most recent update was in July 2006, so any hope we have for the website to be updated is slim!)

According to Humax, it fixes the "Channel Missing Problem". Erm... what channel missing problem? If it means the search to find channels like Premiere Sport or Direkt, or ITV HD they're lying, they still don't come up!

Can't think of any other channel missing problem! That must be what they mean, but obviously haven't sorted it out properly. Think i'll wait for the next update. (If there is a next!)

I am amazed you actually got a reply from Humax.

All my emails to them regarding issues with this receiver have been ignored.

My latest query was will they fix the C4HD problem.

I loaded Ver:16 the day it was released OTA on Astra. I have found that it's not really neccessary to do a total Factory reset as it shows up immediately in the updated Software Menu. From my experiance using Ver:16 I think you'll probably find it's a sound fix for HD Chns, because the 2000HDCI was well known for having a terrible stuttering sound problem after Ver:15 was released. To cure it you had to keep turning it on and off to let it resynch, but that problem has now gone! Rgds, TB

I am still using v1.15 and do not get any stuttering problem.
