Just got a real bargain.

Just walked through the local car boot sale, then I spotted a Freesat HD box sat on a stall, still boxed with all the protective sleeves on the unit.

This is the same box as is being sold for £150.00 so as you can imagine I ripped is arm off when he said I could have it for £55.00

What a bargain, the HD is amazing.

Does anyone else have this box, if so does the red button only appear when HD content is available ???

ITV HD is available via the red button on all freesat HD boxes, it is not a full time channel.

Only when something HD available m8, see the ITV website for listings, not much there unfortunately...

Plenty on BBC HD though, the euro2008 final is on tonight.

I bought a digi terrestrial box at tescos last year for £10, digital terrestrial is a diabolical low grade mess, it will soon be our main reception platform.

freeview pictures are rubbish my father bought a freesat box .i seen bbc hd on it with him using a 42 inch toshiba.thers better pictures as far as im concerned. with the german channels i.e. orf or zdf thats not hd only my thoughts .why cant uk tv get the same quality pictures.

Have to say have a sony tv with integrated analog and digital reciever and digital is much sharper than analog, bought a cheap freeview box ALBA for kitchen its digital tv quality is very poor, then got a Panasonic dvd/hd/freeview box for the study and sony one for the bedroom both the picture is great.

All 4 run off the same aeriel, It has to be the reciever thats making the difference not the signal
