Folks, my beloved 1.2M reference dish has started to play up. It has the original Chaparral motor which has an optical sensor (yes I know it's old) :respect-023:and I think this maybe giving the problem. Can the optical sensor go wrong and if so where the hell am I gonna get one of those. I can move the dish painfully slowly with either my Echostar or a vbox but can't move the dish in the normal way. I get motor error on the echo and ERR2 on the vbox which looks like a pulse/sensor problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated as I don't want to bin it !
