My dad has just bought his first 42inch LCD HD ready tv

was telling him about freesat

he wants to know

if he can use his old sly digital dish to hook up a freesat reciever?

he does not to pay the £80.00 instal fee, can he (and me prob!)

set it up ourselfs?

but above all, whats the cheapest way to hook up a freesat receiver.

Hi Mate,

No problems there, its simple just buy the freesat box connect the dish, then input your post code. It will then be installed.

if you have the quad lnbf installed the sky box will also work because ch5 ect will not work on freesat no card reader but it is avalable on freeview and analogue as well
