seems to me that this receiver is in need of more development .
tested so many cards and as you can see most of them not reconized by the card reader.
what i may think is , maybe a card reader problem on my reciver or an problem with the emu software.

After Loading software you need to activate Emu, to do that
Manu> Module > Pres Red Buton > Enter pasword 9999 and now you see CAS and EMU Key!

Go in to CAS and make sure all turned on

EMU > ON
EMU Auto Update > ON
Common Interface 1 > ON
Common Interface 2 > ON
CI Message > ON
Smard Card 1 > ON
Smard Card 1 Auto Update 1 > ON
Network Server > ON
Com Port > ON

Save it and all shuld work

still does not read my Canal digital Norwegeian card
and that intrests me most.

i will try the second receiver i have, see if that is better
maybe this one im trying is foulty ??

i reinstalled the software, then i gott picture via conax cam
with the canal digital.

before was fereezin alot.

anyway, do you think i should try another older software?
do you know where i can find original software for this box.

Do you have another box that you can run card in with newcs then connect to that box with the 918 and see how that is.

I have a newcs 1.0w server that I connect to and its perfect on C+.

i have 2 of this boxes mate, one silver and one black

None does give me picture with my original canal digital norwegian card.

of of this boxes does not read the card at all
the second one does read the card, i can see the dates and so on, card is updated as i did update it with conax cam.

im going mad with this boxes, and dont know what to do realy,

can you please tell me what image are you using ??
im using the lates software found from here.

is there any special thing i must do to gett the card work
my understandig is that this box should read conac card
out of the box , as it supports conax, but it does not read my card

im not trying to connect to any server as i do not need it
all im trying to do is have my subscrition card working.

Yes i can test with newcs server, no problem , but that is not what im after



any suggestions are welcome.

What I was suggesting because of the problem you have is until there is a fix for the card reader then could you not use your card in another box like a db run it under newcs and connect your 918 to the db.

I know its not what you are after but its better that way then no way, until firmware upgrade comes out to fix it.

i will try that suggestion, will connect to mates newcs and see what happends.

i just cant belive it, im so unlucky with the card reader thing

anyway, i ask thise becouse i have only 14 days return right in my buy
so if this is a problem then there is no need for me to keep this receivers

hhhmmm, bouth my occy 918 and 1018 read my org.conax cd norway without no problem, and i have only org.software, no emu.
