Hi

Firstly thanks for the info on the HD DVD's, I ordered 4 last night, however this morning my bank Barclays, have contacted me to inform me that someone has gained access to my credit card details, and have been trying to book Airline flights, and as the transaction was not made by me they have cancelled my card, and that I will be receiving a new card in a few days time. So to anyone else ordering any of these DVD's it may be worth your while to check your banking details for any transactions that you have not made.

Hi there all

Aldo, ive ordered around 70 HDdvds from HMV's website and never had any problems, but some of the posters on www.avforums.co.uk have had there debit/credit card companys calling them up when they have ordered 9 or more single transactions from HMV, saying they think someone is using there card.

But i can personally vouch for HMV, service from jersey usually takes 3-4days

All the best and hope your card gets sorted, James

Had my card blocked a while ago after trying to buy a TV online. My ISP had taken a couple of small payments for excessive bandwidth, just a few pounds, earlier that day, and when I tried to buy the TV, the transaction was declined.

Called the bank and they said that because I had been abroad the week before, and used my card in a cash point, this put a flag on my account. When the system saw a couple of small transactions, followed by an attempt to buy something expensive, this triggered the lock down... Seems this pattern is typical for a cloned card, and so their security systems kicked into action. :D

I have had this done to me 3 times over the past year and a half. In fact the last 2 times after I reported incorrect transactions the TSB never even bothered to send me the signing letter to declare these transactions were not mine. The first time I had this they took off some correct transactions that I had made and never even moved them across to my new card meaning I didn't pay for some transactions I had made. I think credit card fraud is that bad that the banks don't even know what there doing anymore. I have also had credit card fraud on my business card in the past 6 months. Thats 4 times in less than 18 months.
